Job Description:

**Position is not Remote** Must be willing to do onsite

Plans, organizes and oversees the computer activities of the Laboratory to provide optimum patient test reports.  Is familiar with all aspects of the laboratory information system and is capable of maintaining and troubleshooting all hardware and software issues.  Keeps abreast of the Hospital Information Systems and understands the relationships among the systems.  Provides assistance and training to stakeholders in the use of all Laboratory software programs to include Sunquest, CoPath and Collection Manager Devices and general computers utilized in Laboratory Operations.  Creates an effective working relationship with all levels in the organization. Performs additional duties as assigned.


  • Bachelor's degree in medical technology or in an appropriate biological/chemical/medical/physical science or IT from an accredited college or university
  • 3-5 years Medical Technologist or Histotechnologist experience preferred
  • Experience in Laboratory Information System required (Sunquest, CoPath, Collection Manager preferred)
  • ASCP certification preferred
  • Must have experience in the use and maintenance of Laboratory Information Systems
  • Must be willing to work off hours
