Job Description:

Receives order for Echocardiogram (ECHO) or Electrocardiogram (EKG). This position Identifies patient with 2 identifiers. Completes study and transmits via Epiphany & Digiview system. Documents will be put in electronic medical record. Views scheduled tests in scheduling system. Performs studies in both inpatient and outpatient areas. Responsible to report results on stat studies as well as abnormal studies. They will responds to stats; rapid response and code blue and respond to zone phone calls for ECHO/EKG’s. This person is responsible to assist with monthly, annual stats.

Requirements:

Minimum of an Associates Degree.

Graduate of an accredited school of Echocardiography

Registration as a RDCS or equivalent

1 year experience as an ECHO tech and/or able to demonstrate required skill set and physician or Lead tech approved scans

CPR certification required

Able to run ECHO/EKG machine. Ability to perform TTE, Contrast ECHO, TEE and stress tests Computer skills, Epiphany, Digiview.  Strong orientation toward services excellence. Practice the Mother Standard at all times. Able to work varied days/shifts including weekend and on call
