The Security Officer is responsible for the safety of our Patients, Stakeholders and our Campus which requires being able to respond to emergency codes and other issues in a timely manner, among other tasks. Able to meet physical requirements and be physically alert to respond to emergencies or other issues on campus, able to perform duties including lifting, running, bending, carrying and climbing steps. Write detailed reports and have some computer experience. A sufficient level of professional communication skills and a solid team player. Able to meet the team’s growing needs through support and backup when needed. Able to be on time, consistently keeps self and uniform in an orderly manner. Understands and promotes the mission, vision and values of the hospital at all times.
Key Position Qualifications
- High school diploma required
- College coursework in the area of Criminal Justice preferred
- Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in Security from a credible organization
- Act 235 certification preferred
- Public safety and security, communication skills, computer skills and listening skills required
