Position Overview

The Professional Relations Specialist is the internal point of contact at the hospital to assist the Regional Professional Relationship Liaisons and is the direct link between Naturopathic and Chiropractic medical professionals with CTCA at Eastern Regional Medical Center (ERMC).  The Professional Relations Specialist is responsible, in conjunction with the Professional Relations Team, to generate patient volume for the hospital from Naturopathic, Chiropractic and internal ERMC driven relationships as a referral source.

The position requires innovation to implement strategy and process flow, as well as implement relationship management and operational best practices.  This Specialist is responsible for assisting the field liaisons with internal duties, including, but not limited to managing and nurturing relationships with clinical professionals who may refer or have a patient treating at CTCA and the patients that they refer.  The Professional Relations Coordinator will work in tandem with the Professional Relationship Liaisons to help coordinate outreach to hometown physicians and external Medical Professionals, as well as, generate, track and follow-up with patients referred to the hospital through physicians and referring physicians to generate more referrals. The Specialist will serve as an Internal point of contact to facilitate referrals for ERMC.  

The Professional Relations Specialist will be responsible for appropriate messaging and positioning of CTCA to each prospective referral group.  In addition, the Professional Relations Specialist will be responsible for external relationship development with Naturopathic and Chiropractic medical professionals to position CTCA as the premier cancer center to refer patients.  The outreach would include representing CTCA at external conferences and conventions, as well as hosting professionals at the hospital site for events, tours, and educational opportunities.  In addition, the Professional Relations Liaison would also work to develop appropriate CME and other education opportunities. 

Key Position Qualifications

  • BS/BA in Marketing, Business, Communications, Public Relations or related field preferred.
  • Must have a minimum of 3 years of relevant Business, Marketing and/or Healthcare experience.
  • 2 to 3 years of experience working with medical professionals and/or clinical experience preferred
