Position Overview

Radiology professional who assumes responsibility and accountability in the performance of all MRI examinations. Provides care to the patients by assessing MRI-related risks and use of contrast medium, positioning patient in MRI scanner, and programming computer to acquire quality images.  Maximizes safety for patients, care-providers, and stakeholders through screening and education relative to magnetic field.  Maintains requirements for licensure/certification within timeframes established by current ARRT. CPR Certified. Ability to participate in the call rotation if needed. Starts IV’s as needed.  Provides on-call as required. 


Key Position Qualifications

  • Graduate of an approved school of Radiologic Technology
  • A.R.R.T. registered with minimum of one year experience performing MRI scans
  • MRI Certified
  • GE Excite experience preferred
  • Strong communication and patient care skills. 
  • Must have excellent knowledge of all aspects of MRI imaging and safety.
  • Scheduling of inpatients throughout the day.
  • Makes recommendations for process changes.
  • Contacts service vendors for preventive maintenance or repairs.
  • Utilizes knowledge and skills to provide quality and timely service.
