Description

Under the general supervision of the Laboratory Supervisor/Laboratory Administrative Director, the Medical Technologist performs a variety of routine and complex laboratory tests on body fluids and substances, requiring independent judgment, with speed and accuracy. The efforts of the individual(s) in this position, in collaboration with other health care professionals, provide data for the most accurate diagnosis or individual treatment of diseases for optimum patient outcomes. In addition to testing, specimen collection and processing may be required.

• Minimum Associates degree, BS preferred in Medical Technology or applied sciences.
• Clinical internship preferred.
• MLT certification.
• Minimum 6 years laboratory experience.
• Knowledge of Sunquest Lab system preferred.
• Generalist experience highly preferred.
